JW Entertainment, Inc.

In a genre mostly known for faceless wailing samples and electronic replacement of emotions, Queens New York native, Jay Williams, stands as one of the few young and sustaining male dance-recording artists to break the mold.  Internationally recognized on the dance floors and found in every DJ’s crate of club classics, Jay Williams is respected for his creative songwriting, Billboard #1 and Top 10 club offerings including the socially conscious multi-smash "Sweat", U.K. classic "Testify", "It’s Over", the soaring falsetto rendition of Blue Magic's "Look Me Up"; among numerous featured collaborations with top dance producers/remixers as Junior Vasquez, Mousse T, Roger Sanchez, Urban Blues Project, C&C Music Factory, Hex Hector etc.

Influenced by the soulful 70’s Sounds-of-Philly, Stax, and Motown artists (Al Green, Eddie Kendricks, Pendergrass) Jay began as a background session singer while studying music and law at New York's Baruch College.  Jay’s unique vocal range, live showcase energy, word of mouth, and definitive deal with Big Beat/Atlantic Records lead to Billboard, Spin, MTV and Top of the Pops recognition.  Notwithstanding his early 90’s underground catapult and big break at New York’s original Club Sound Factory, Jay Williams continues to thrust further into mainstream U.K. to Japan venues and successfully bridge the gap between dance music, R&B, underground club culture and fashion.

Jay Williams' collective experience has evolved in the launching of JW Entertainment, Inc.   Currently producing new artists as well as recording his Neo-Classic Soul project (with dance remixes to follow), Jay's career continues to develop and contribute to a diverse on-stage and in-studio resume that reads from Paul Simon, Patti Labelle, Luther Vandross to the Baha-Men, and a long who's who list of major R&B heavies.
